There are many different types of plumbing problems, but there a few that are the most common. These plumbing problems might seem like no big deal, but if not taken care of, the can turn into a big deal and more problems then you are wanting to deal with. Here is a list of some of the common plumbing problems that our Gilbert plumber comes across.
1. Leaky Faucets
Chances are you have had a faucet in your home that leaks and chances are you have probably just ignored it because it’s not that big of a leak. However, a faucet that leaks not only wastes water, but it also adds up on your water bill very quickly.
2. Running Toilet
A running toilet is another very common plumbing problem. A running toilet can waste anywhere up to 250 gallons of water or more per day. Some may not know, but a running toilet is an internal leak and this can cause your water bill to go up as well due to the amount of water being wasted on a daily basis. On this note, it is very important to keep up with your toilet repair.
3. Leaking Hose Bibb
During the winter, the harsh cold can crack your hose bibb causing leaks during the spring and summer. Our Gilbert plumber recommends that you cover and protect your hose bibb during the winter in order to prevents future leaks.
4. Leaking Pipes
Pipes that leak, tend to leak more during the winter, but are very common throughout the year. Leaks can occur around joints. Be sure to keep an eye on your plumbing by watching out for wet spots on the ground or on the ceiling, which are a good indicator of leaking pipes.
5. Low Water Pressure
Although low water pressure tends to occur more in older homes, they can still occur in any home. Having low water pressure can simply mean that you just need a new shower head or faucet, however it could also mean that you have a bigger plumbing issue. One of the big issues that can cause low water pressure could be a hidden leak in your home.
